Found in 2020, I started up this page because I have always wanted to share funny stories in life to connect with others. At first, I thought this page would be a soul entertainment page to brighten up people's day. But then after the huge civil movements which began in the summer of 2019 up until now. I figured that there are a lot of unjust things going on in the world that we are probably not aware of while we are having fun. Eventually, I decided to create this page with 2/3 of it being cute, funny cartoons of my daily life, and the other 1/3 of it raising awareness of social issues in Hong Kong, and its relationship with Communist China. Art is an expression for the artist, is a language to communicate, is an explicit way to voice out.
Work
Initially, it really took me some planning before starting up the page. I had to plan out what color do I want to use for the main color coding of the brand, then think about what content I would like to create, how would the overall page come out to look like etc. To be honest, even after I have been running the page for a little while, I still felt like it is still not perfect, it still looks funky. This is why I have not been posting recently, I am trying to think of new ideas to perfect the page, and maybe learning to use Adobe photoshop or illustrator to make things look better, neater and more professional. In the near future, I am looking to make pochako.hk into a brand that maybe develops sticker products or plush dolls for the cartoons that I create. But for now, it is just a hobby and skill that I am still honing. But please do give lots of love and support to pochako.hk!!
